BIG BANG THEORY
“We purchased a sweater for one of the actresses and want some more, but can’t find it anywhere. Do you think you could possibly copy it?” Those words were the start of a long saga. The TV show was THE BIG BANG THEORY. The character was Bernadette. The sweater was a cute little half sleeve cardigan with a scoop neck. The yarn was an unknown to me stretch fiber. I called all my yarn sources, got lots of samples, but no luck. Finally I talked to a yarn rep who said he had one cone of something that might work. We were miles apart in Los Angeles and arranged to meet mid-way at a coffee shop. I got the yarn, made the sweater, the actress loved it, the designer loved it and they wanted more. I got the color card from the yarn supplier. There were 30 colors. They picked 28 of them. If you watch the show you see the sweater. She wears one in just about every episode.
